Important Notes for this Year:

  • Eruv Tavshilin: Because the second day of the holiday is Friday, you must perform the Eruv Tavshilin ritual on Wednesday, April 1. This allows you to prepare food on Friday (Yom Tov) for the Shabbat that follows immediately after.

  • Pre-existing Flame: On Thursday night (April 2) and Friday evening (April 3), you must light your candles from a flame that was started before the holiday began on Wednesday.
